Ever since I moved to Rhode Island to attend university, I became encapsulated by my awe of nature and the things that are seemingly unnoticed by humanity’s day to day. I found peace in the solitude of nature and began to consciously pay attention to simplicity. When we quiet our thoughts and block the noise, our visuals reveal a perspective of the world that often gets overlooked. This mindset shifted the way I saw the world and eventually moments surfaced where I would look out and see the frame for the perfect shot. A photo that could capture the feeling, the stillness, the emotion, the warmth of the moment. And so, I delved into photographing these moments in hopes of salvaging visual representations of beautiful, calm, curious, or divine moments I experienced, one with nature, just my camera and I.
